The Art World at Degan!
This year, students will explore the art theme: Visions-Taking A Closer Look. Broad art ideas will be drawn from self expressions and reflection, celebrating world and cultural influences, and as well as the basis of art elements and principles.

 

Third graders are creating their own story-teller inspired by the Cochiti Indians.

 

Inspired by the sculptor Frank Stella, fourth graders are working in groups to create a three dimensional sculpture that deals with organic and geometric shapes, space and form.

 

 

 

First graders are up to their elbows in paint. Inspired by artist Keith Haring, students learned how to draw their bodies with simple contour and action lines.
