Chess Club 

     
Once again, Degan Elementary will be having a chess club for the fourth and fifth grade students.  At club meetings, students will have the oppurtunity to play or learn how to play the game of chess.  Furthermore, meetings will take place on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 to 3:45 p.m.  Chess Club will be sponsored by Mr. Bliss and Mr. Staten, teachers at Degan Elementary.  In addition, meetings for fourth grader members will take place with Mr. Bliss in her 3rd grade classroom.  Fifth grade members will meet with Mr. Staten in his fifth grade classroom.  This club does not require a fee.  However, a permission slip must be signed and returned to one of the two sponsors before participation in the chess club.
