Welcome to the first grade page! We are excited about working with you and your child this year. In First grade at Castle Hills, students begin at all different reading levels. We attend to each child's reading needs and help them develop their reading skills throughout the school year. Students also begin writing complete sentences and by the end of the year will be writing stories. In Math, they practice their addition and subtraction skills, counting money, and telling time. Students also learn many Science and Social Studies concepts that are incorporated into centers. Each child has a chance to explore and do hands on activities.

Wonderful parents make the difference. Your excitement about learning is greatly needed and appreciated. Thank you for your help and support!
