A Message from Principal Ruth Eidenier

Welcome to the Camey Elementary School web site! I hope it helps you learn more about our school, staff and activities. At Camey, we are very proud of our students, teachers, building and instructional programs. As part of the Lewisville Independent School District, we strive to help each Camey student reach their highest potential and develop a life-long love of learning by providing the best possible educational experiences. In addition to instruction in the core subject areas, Camey also has classes in Art, Physical Education, Library, Music, Computer Lab and Creative Dramatics. Extra-curricular activities include 4th-5th grade Choir, Student Council, Drama Club, News Team and UIL competition.

There are more that 550 students currently enrolled at Camey. Our school mascot is the cobra and our colors are black and gold. Camey opened its doors for the first time in August, 1977. Two original staff members are still with us and 3 former students are now teachers here! Our school motto is: “Camey Elementary—Where Everybody is Somebody”. Our mission statement reads:
“Camey Parents, Teachers and Children working together
today for a better tomorrow.”
Parent support is an important part of our school’s success. Our PTA provides an excellent means for you to be a partner in your child’s education.

We hope you enjoyed your visit to our web site and invite you to visit our campus in person. If we can be of any service or help to you, please do not hesitate to contact us.
