Athletes for Literacy Summer Reading Program
for Elementary Students

September 12, 2008 is designated to be "Elementary Night" at the Jaguar football game. On that night, they will honor two students from each elementary school who have read the most minutes during the summer. There will be one boy and one girl chosen from each school. These students will get to wear a Jaguar football jersey and lead the football team onto the field. They will also be permitted to stay in the end zone area during the remaining part of the game. The one student who has read the most minutes overall will get to participate in the coin toss with a Jaguar football player.

A reading log and tally sheet are attached for you to document your reading minutes this summer. The official reading dates are June 6 – August 24. Let's show the Jaguar football team how much Bluebonnet loves to read. If you have any questions, please contact Sheri Layne at 469-713-5195.
