The Colony High School was built in 1986. The school was designated as a Recognized campus from 1996-1999, and 2009, and was designated as an Exemplary school for the years 2000-2003. We are proud to be a recipient of a $265,000 Hewlett Packard Innovations in Education Grant. This grant enabled us to integrate academics with a business challenge: the design of an electric car. The Colony High School received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2008-09 for: College Ready Graduates, Recommended High School Program/DAP Class of 2008, Comparable Improvement in Reading/ELA, Commended on Social Studies, and Texas Success Initiative in ELA.
