Prairie Trail Elementary School was built in 1995. The Prairie Trail staff seeks to develop confident, self-sufficient and successful students by providing the best possible instructional experiences in a safe and orderly learning environment. We have a Chess Club for children in Grades 1 through 5, and students in Grades 3 through 5 have the opportunity to be a part of the STARS musical performing group. The School Safety Patrol and the Morning Announcement Team promote leadership skills for our fifth-grade students. Our active PTA coordinates an extensive volunteer program that supports every aspect of our instructional program. Prairie Trail Elementary received Gold Performance Acknowledgments in 2006-07 for: Attendance (05-06) and Commended on Reading/ELA, Writing, Mathematics and Science.
