Principal: Ann Beckel

On land donated by Thomas O. Hicks to LISD in 1998, the school bearing his name opened its doors to students August 11, 2004. The school is the first elementary two-story building and the first LISD school built in Frisco. Principal Ann Beckel states that "like the size of the building, which is enormous, so are our expectations for student achievement."

"Our school is a fun, caring environment where students excel with their teachers' and parents' highest expectations for educational excellence. With a small student body and dedicated, talented teachers we are able to create a family-life atmosphere." Hicks Elementary received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007 for: Commended on Reading/ELA, Mathematics, Writing and Science.
