DeLay Middle School was built in 1949. The school is one of LISD's original buildings, serving as the site for Lewisville High until its move to the present location. DeLay has undergone several renovations and additions. The summer of 2001 saw the completion of a two-stage renovation. Standard dress attire (uniforms) are required at DeLay. DeLay Middle School received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2006-07 for Comparable Improvement in Reading/ELA and Mathematics.
