Creek Valley Middle School, home of the Wildcats, opened in the fall of 2001. Designed for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders, the school has three computer labs and continually seeks to stay abreast of technology advancements to improve student success. Creek Valley Middle School stresses: communicating effectively, helping students to learn to make good decisions, and providing a smooth transition from one grade to the next. The activities of our Wildcat Camp, the first two days of school, acclimate our students to the guidelines of LISD and CVMS. We offer many programs to support our wildcats: DEN (homeroom/advisory each day), CATS (an adult matched with a wildcat needing additional support), specialized tutoring to address TAKS scores, and trained teachers supporting “FISH” philosophy and Seven Habits of Highly Effective Teens. Students learn about character education through announcements and DEN.  Our teachers meet weekly to plan lessons within their department and cross curricular, provide student support, and focus on continual learning themselves through book studies and reviewing effective teaching strategies.  We wear our red, white and blue school colors with pride. Creek Valley MS received Gold Performance Acknowledgments from the Texas Education Agency in 2006-07 for: Attendance (2005-06); Commended on Reading/ELA; Commended on Social Studies; Commended on Writing; and Comparable Improvement: Mathematics.
