PhoneHow do I contact my teacher if I have a question?

You will be provided with the LISD email address of your teacher. You must also provide a valid email address to eSchool for the purpose of communication. You may also communicate with your teacher via the message system within eSchool.

Quiz/TestHow do I take tests?

Assignments must be completed and submitted prior to being taking a test. All chapter and unit quizzes and tests will be taken online. Students must achieve a 70% or greater on a test to proceed to the next unit.. If a passing grade (70%) is not obtained on the first attempt, students may re-attempt for a maximum grade of 70%. The final exam, which will be taken electronically in the presence of a designated administrator, must be passed to pass and receive credit for the course.

Practice tests have been provided for you to take as many times as you wish to help you review the content and see where you need additional study.  If you take these practice tests enough times, you will have seen almost any question you will encounter on the unit tests.  The practice tests will give you a grade, but that grade is not recorded.

Final Exam consists of 2 parts:

  • Performance Assessment (project) which is 40% of the final exam grade, and the performance assessment must have been submitted before you will be given the password to the objective portion.
  • Objective Assessment which is 60% of the final exam grade.

You MUST PASS THE FINAL exam to receive credit for the course. Because the final exam is so important you are given one opportunity for a retake of the objective portion only.  That re-attempt must be 24 hours following the first attempt.

It is not possible for you to pass the final exam if you do not do the performance assessment and the objective portion.

AssignmentsHow do I submit course assignments?

Assignments are to be submitted as stated in the course schedule and may be submitted electronically. The assignments documents are posted in the assignment window. Students will save the document to their computer, complete it and again save it to their computer, then upload the completed assignment to the site. It will then be accessed and graded by the teacher. See the Upload Assignment tutorial. See directions.

What if I want to withdraw from an LISD Online course?

Carefully consider whether the online learning environment is a good learning style for you. Keep in mind that if you take one of the limited seats you are preventing another student from being able to participate. You will have 15 days from the beginning of the term to withdraw. If you wish to withdraw within this time period, you must see your counselor. After that, you can not withdraw and will receive a grade. If there has been no participation in the class for the first 15 days, you will automatically be dropped.
