Application Instructions
Complete only ONE online application in a 12 month period. Subsequent applications will not be given consideration.
Your application will remain active for one year from date of receipt.
Our online application does not allow you to re-access it once you have submitted it to us.

Online application will take approximately 30-45 minutes to complete, and must be completed in one session. You cannot start and stop the application, nor can you re-access the application to make changes or corrections.

On a slow network connection, the large menu lists will take awhile to download, especially the lists containing your college and your coursework.
References:
LISD requires a minimum of three complete professional references
LISD will send out reference forms from the information you provide on your online application - accurate contact information is imperitive.
At least one reference should be from someone who served in a supervisory capacity and evaluated you in a classroom setting.
Examples of professional references include the following: principal, asst. principal, mentor teachers, department chairs, and cooperating teachers.

Copy of transcripts of all universities and colleges attended.
If applicable - Undergraduates: letter of intent and/or letter of completion

(Teaching, Librarian and Campus Counseling applicants only) - Gallup TeacherInsight is required - The TI is accessed through our LISD Application Wizard - the Wizard will automatically generate when you begin the online application.

The LISD prioritizes the consideration and screening of fully certified applicants. Other applicants who are participating in a recognized alternative certification program may be considered only after the district has depleted its pool of certified applicants. Alternative certification applicants will be contacted as the need arises.
