My name is Lisa Marie Bennett and I am the Technology Applications specials teacher here at Independence. I teach PreK through fifth grade, and I see every student once a week. We explore technology in my classroom through iPads, Windows laptops, MacBook Airs, Chromebooks and the students' own devices that they bring to school. This will be my 15th year teaching, and my seventh year here at Independence. Before I came to Independence, I taught 4th grade, 5th grade Science, and 2nd grade.
I have a husband named Chris who works in IT at the University of North Texas. I also have a son, Daniel, who is in 8th grade at Killian Middle School. My daughter, Claire, is in 3rd grade in the dual language program at Independence. As a family, we love to visit Disney World, and work out at Lifetime Fitness. My husband and I take Zumba, my son does rockclimbing, and my daughter loves to swim.
My hope in our class is to expose my students to all the new and fun things going on in technology. Please feel free to contact me at anytime if you need anything!
