Join the staff and students at Prairie Trail Elementary for their annual Jingle Bell Jog on Fri., Dec. 7. It is an all-day event, assisted by Marcus High School's Cross Country Team and head coach.
The Lewisville Area Retired School Personnel Association will celebrate the holidays with a luncheon on Dec. 20 at 11:30 a.m. at Pinewood Hills, 3901 Kirkpatrick Ln. in Flower Mound. Eric Ramirez wins "Teachers Driving Success" contest
Hebron High School's teacher/coach Eric Ramirez won a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt in CBS Channel 11's "Teachers Driving Success" contest. Former student Kaili Terry wrote the winning essay, which was chosen from 2,500 entries.
Laura Reed's (speech assessment, Special Education) daughter, Emily Reed, and Kristina Kave were honored by Christian Community Action (CCA) on Nov. 26 for their work on the adult education information room at the CCA Adult Health Center. The girls worked on the room as part of their Girl Scouts Gold Award project. Emily and Kristina are seniors at Flower Mound High School.

- Jaime Steen (teacher, McKamy MS) married Bobby Richardson on Nov. 8.
- Emily Heinze (teacher, Wellington ES) and Kevin Stoner were wed on Nov. 17.
- Liliana Moren (bilingual teacher, Vickery ES) and Derik Hayenga were married on Nov. 17.
- Jennifer Gnirk (teacher, Indian Creek ES) and Mark Bulthaup (tech systems analyst, Technology) tied the knot last month.
- Lindsay McEvoy (teacher, Heritage ES) and Corey Long will marry on Dec. 15. Lindsay is a 1999 Lewisville HS graduate.

- Laura Clancy (supervisor, 21st Century Grant) lost her mother-in-law on Nov. 15.
- Debbie Genova (library aide, Central ES) lost her father, Charlie Pannell, on Nov. 27.
- Betsy Bramlett (office clerk, The Colony HS) lost her mother last week.
- Angela Lyons, wife of David Lyons (asst. director, Custodial Services), passed away on Dec. 1 after suffering a brain aneurysm. A memorial service for Angela was held today, Dec. 5, at First Baptist Church of Lewisville.
- Elvin Green, father of Joan Malik (teacher, Flower Mound ES) and grandfather of Matthew Malik (ESD aide, Community Ed.), passed away on Dec. 3.
- Lynn West (librarian, Lakeland ES) lost her father on Dec. 4.
