Special Education PTSA fair on April 26

Benefits Office offers help

Questions concerning health insurance and other benefits when an employee leaves Lewisville ISD are addressed in the following excerpt from the Employee Handbook, p. 24:

Termination of Health and Supplemental Insurance Benefits
All insurance benefits (health insurance and supplemental insurance benefits) are terminated at the end of the month in which an employee resigns, retires or is terminated, or for which premiums are not paid by the end of the month. However, if an employee works through the end of the school year, then insurance benefits are terminated at the end of the month in which the employee receives their last paycheck, except for medical insurance, which may be continued through August 31.

If you resign or retire on or after June 6, your health insurance can continue through August 31. Call the Benefits Office at 469-948-8401 for more information.

- Leah Jones, daughter of Susan Jones (office clerk, Lewisville HS), earned a 4.0 GPA and was named to the president's list at University of North Texas for the fall semester.

- Heidi Ruez (teacher, Liberty ES) lost her mother, Barbara Nelson, on March 7.

- Cathy Schuelke (teacher, Degan ES) lost her father-in-law, John Schuelke, on March 8.

- Dianna Alagood (counselor, Lewisville HS) lost her father, J.L. Penton, on March 9.

- Sue Dearman (attendance clerk, Flower Mound ES) lost her mother, Vita Campbell, on March 24.
