Career Fair set for March 13

- Mickey Sepanek, son of Linda Sepanek (teacher, Castle Hills ES) and a 2007 graduate of Marcus HS, was named to the dean's list at Eastern Michigan University.

- Kamryn LaCoco, daughter of Mike and Kim LaCoco (teacher, Learning Center) and a 2003 Marcus HS graduate, earned a 4.0 GPA and was named to the president's list at University of North Texas.

- Kirsten Dahl, daughter of Sonya Dahl (Special Education bridging teacher, Briarhill MS), earned a 4.0 GPA during her first semester at Baylor University and was named to the Alpha Lambda Delta honorary fraternity.

- Peter Gooding, son of Richard and Martha Gooding (assistant principal, Lakeland ES), was recently named special projects liaison from the U.S. Coast Guard to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Transportation.

- Sara Junk (teacher, Arbor Creek MS) is engaged to Ryan Vaughn and they will marry in August.

- Danielle Mauldin (nurse aide, Health Services) is engaged to Kyle Oatis. Danielle is the granddaughter of Joyce Henderson (secretary, Human Resource Services).

- Judd and Tara Burkett (occupational therapist, Special Education) welcomed their son, Brock Burkett, on Feb. 25.
