- Jennifer Miers Daly, daughter of Judy Miers (teacher, Central ES), received her master's degree in business administration from University of Phoenix in December.
- Zach Laughlin, a 2002 The Colony HS graduate and son of Karen Morris (teacher, Ethridge ES), received his bachelor's degree in business from Abilene Christian University in December.
- Angela Lavender Jarvis, a 1995 Lewisville HS graduate and daughter of James and Joan Lavender (tech facilitator, Shadow Ridge MS), will receive her master's degree in accounting from Ellis University in May.

- Amanda Prater, daughter of Trish Prater (office clerk, Griffin MS), married Kevin Skiles on Jan. 5.
Melissa Perry and Ben Jenkins, 2003 Hebron HS graduates, will marry on May 31. Melissa's uncle is Mark Dalton (assistant principal, Hebron HS); her sister is Michelle Perry (teacher, Coyote Ridge ES). Ben's mother is Jerri Jenkins (attendance clerk, Indian Creek ES).

- Iris Acutt (bilingual literacy teacher, Peters Colony ES) welcomed her first granddaughter, Danika Iris Simpson, on Jan. 13.
- Corrinne Skelton (teacher, Killian MS) and Will Skelton (band director, Lakeview MS) welcomed their first child, Claire Olivia Skelton, on Oct. 9.
- Caren Placke (teacher, Heritage ES) and Fred Placke (president, Board of Trustees) welcomed their first grandson, Gabriel David Placke, on Jan. 14.
