Information regarding enrollment, school hours, riding the bus, meal prices and campus links.
Enroll your child in the main office at the campus he or she will attend. Verify the campus your children will attend or reference the full boundary map. Full day kindergarten is available at all elementary schools. Children entering kindergarten need to be five years old on or before Sept. 1. Children entering first grade need to be six years old by Sept. 1. Bring with you:
High schools 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.; Middle schools 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Elementary schools 7:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. Children arriving late need to check in at the school’s attendence office.
RIDING THE SCHOOL BUS
LISD provides bus transportation at no cost to students living two or more miles from school. Find your nearest bus stop. You can call 972-221-4557 for the Lewisville/ Flower Mound area or 469-948-2700 for the Carrollton/The Colony area. No registration is necessary; your child’s bus driver will have paperwork for you.
Breakfast & Lunch Meal Prices
Breakfast costs $1 for all students and $1.50 for adults and visitors. Lunch is $2.20 for elementary school students, $2.45 for middle and high school students, and $3.25 for adults and visitors. Price increases are due to the U.S. Department of Agriculture requirement that school districts charge students for paid meals at a price that is, on average, equal to the difference between free meal reimbursement and paid meal reimbursement.
Free & Reduced Meals
Reduced rates are available to students who qualify for Free and Reduced meals. Parents may complete an online applications from home or in the Child Nutrition office (247 W. Main Street, Lewisville, TX 75057). Paper applications are available for pick up at each school, as well as in the Child Nutrition office. You can alsoprint a copy of the application and deliver to your school’s front office or the Child Nutrition office.
Low Balance E-mail Notifications & Meal Account Deposits
Parents can avoid negative balances by enrolling in our FREE Low Balance Email Notification tool without making an online payment. If your child’s meal account balance falls at or below $10.00, you will receive an email notification allowing you to immediately deposit funds to your child’s account. Please note Starting August 1, 2013 a 3.60% convenience fee will be applied to your online payment total at checkout. To avoid incurring this fee, your school cafeteria accepts cash and check payments. Click here to begin depositing funds to your child’s account and enroll in Low Balance Email Notifications.
